Jewish Wedding at the Prosserman JCC in Toronto | Liz & Will

By Justin Russo Photography – Toronto & Kitchener-Waterloo Wedding Photographer

Liz and Will’s wedding at the Prosserman Jewish Community Centre (JCC) in Toronto was a joyful, high-energy celebration filled with tradition, emotion, and non-stop dancing. As a wedding photographer with a deep appreciation for documenting cultural traditions and heartfelt moments, this day was an absolute highlight.

From quiet, emotional getting-ready moments at Will’s parents’ home to a reception filled with laughter, love, and simcha, this Jewish wedding in Toronto was vibrant, meaningful, and unforgettable.

Getting Ready at the Groom’s Family Home

The day began at Will’s parents’ home, where both the bride and groom got ready surrounded by their families. It was a relaxed and intimate start to the day, with quiet moments, laughter between siblings, and a sense of excitement building with each passing hour. Capturing the getting-ready process is always a favorite part of the day for me — it’s when everything starts to feel real.

As a wedding photographer serving Toronto and Southern Ontario, I love being welcomed into these personal spaces. There’s something incredibly special about starting the day in a family home — the history, the energy, and the connection all come through in the photos.

A Joyful Jewish Wedding Ceremony at the Prosserman JCC

The rest of the day took place at the Prosserman JCC in Toronto, a modern and beautiful venue that served as the perfect setting for Liz and Will’s wedding celebration. Their Jewish ceremony was traditional, moving, and deeply personal. The chuppah was surrounded by family and friends, and the room was filled with love, pride, and tradition.

There were emotional moments throughout — from the signing of the ketubah to the breaking of the glass — each one filled with meaning and steeped in cultural heritage. These are the moments I love to capture most: raw, real emotion and the timeless rituals that connect generations.

A Reception Full of Heartfelt Speeches and Incredible Dancing

If you’ve ever been to a Jewish wedding, you know the dancing is next-level — and Liz and Will’s reception was no exception. From the first dance to the wild, energetic hora, the dance floor was alive all night long. It was the kind of celebration where the energy never dips, and you can feel the joy radiating from every corner of the room.

The reception also included incredibly moving speeches from loved ones — full of laughter, tears, and stories that brought the entire room closer. As a photographer, these moments are gold. It’s not just about the smiles and tears — it’s about the connection. And Liz and Will were surrounded by a community that clearly adored them.
